Abstract:
Bu çalısma, Harran Ovası kosullarında yaygın olarak yetistirilen biber bitkisinde (Capsicum annum L.) elektriksel iletkenlikleri farklı sularla yapılan sulamaların tuz-verim iliskilerini irdelemek ve tuza dayanım düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıstır Deneme 2005 yılında GAP Egitim Yayım ve Arastırma Merkezi Müdürlügünde Koruklu stasyonu deneme alanında yürütülmüstür. Arastırmada, damla sulama sistemi kullanılmıs ve bitkilere sulama sırasında farklı düzeylerde tuz (0.5, 1.5, 3.0, 6.0, 9.0 dSm-1) uygulanmıstır. Sulama aralıgı sabit tutulmus ve bitkiler haftada iki defa sulanmıstır. Sulama suyu miktarı da açık su yüzeyi buharlasma degeri (Kcp=1.00) ve bitki örtü yüzdesi ile düzeltilerek belirlenmistir. Elde edilen verilerden Harran Ovası kosullarında damla sulama sistemi ile sulanan biberde, toprak tuzlulugu için ECe= 3.60 dSm-1 tuzluluk düzeyinden sonra verim azalmaya baslamıstır. Artan tuz konsantrasyonu hem bitki gelisimini hem de meyve kalitesini olumsuz yönde etkilemistir. Sulama suyu tuz konsantrasyonunun artmasına baglı olarak, toprakta tuz yıgılması da artmıstır. Tuzlulugu 9 dSm-1 olan T4 konusunda ortalama kök bölgesi tuzlulugu 13.44 dSm-1 düzeylerine ulasan toprak tuzlulugu, kontrol konusunda 1.64 dSm-1 düzeyinde kalmıstır. Artan tuz konsantrasyonuna baglı olarak bitki su tüketimi de azalmıstır. Artan tuzluluk klorofil kaybına neden olmus ve en yüksek duyarlılık 0-3 dSm-1 arasında görülmüstür. Klorofildeki degisimler, düsük EC'lerde büyük olurken, yüksek EC degerlerinde önemsiz bulunmustur. ANAHTAR KELMELER: Tuzluluk, sulama suyu, biber, damla sulama, tuza dayanım
This study was done with the aim to determine the salinity-yield function and effect of irrigation water which have different EC on the salt resistance of Sanlıurfa bell pepper (Capsicum annum L.), a widely grown cultivar and vegetable in Harran Plain. The experiment was conducted at the GAP Training, Extension and Research Center in Koruklu sub-stations, in 2005. In this study, drip irrigation technique was used and during irrigation events, different amount water and salt (0.5, 1.5, 3.0, 6.0, 9.0 dSm-1) were applied to the plants. The irrigation interval is made to remain stable and the plant were irrigated twice a week. The amount of irrigation water was calculated based upon Class-A-Pan (CAP) evaporation taking into account of canopy cover percentage. According to the datum obtained from Harran Plain, the yield of the pepper which was irrigated with the method of dripping irrigation began to decrease after salinity level of ECe= 3.60 dSm-1 for soil water. The ascending of salt concentration affected badly both plant growth and fruit quality. Accumulation of salt in the soil profile also increased depending on increased the irrigation water salinity. At T4 subject whose salinity was 9.0 dSm-1, average root region salinity raised 13.44 dSm-1 while it remained 1.64 dSm-1 at the control subject. Evapotranspiration decreased when the salt content of irrigation water increased. Increased salinity caused the loss of chlorophyll and the highest sensitivity was seen between 0 and 3 dSm-1. Changes in the chlorophyll were significant at low EC but at high EC they were insignificant. KEY WORDS: Salinity, Irrigation Water, Pepper, Drip Irrigation, Salt Tolerance
