Abstract

ÖZET ?Tanzimat'tan Cumhuriyet'e Urfa'da Eğitim? konulu çalışmamızda genel olarak Osmanlı döneminde Tanzimat öncesi eğitimin yapısı, Tanzimat'ın eğitime getirdiği yeniliklerin uygulamadaki durumu, Cumhuriyet'e kadar uğradığı değişmelerden bahsedilmeye çalışılmıştır. Urfa sancağı ve kazalarındaki okullar, öğrenci sayıları, öğretmenler ve okutulan derslerden yola çıkılarak Urfa'daki eğitim durumu ve eğitim kurumları hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Bu çalışma Urfa eğitim tarihine küçük de olsa bir katkı sağlamayı amaçlamıştır. SUMMARY Our study ?Education in Urfa from Tanzimat to Republic? generally mentions education conditions in Ottoman Empire before Tanzimat, practical situations of education reformations that Tanzimat brought and transition period of education until Republic. Informations had given about Education conditions and foundations in Urfa by stating Schools in Sanjak of Urfa and its districts, student numbers, teachers and teached subjects. This study aims to add a small contribution to Urfa education history.
