Abstract:
Bu tez çalışmasında öncelikle benzoinin sodium tuzunun epiklorohidrin ile tepkimeye sokulmasından epoksi uçlu gruplu bir benzoin bileşiği elde edildi. Daha sonra epoksi uçlu benzoin bileşiği hidroliz edilerek epoksit uç grubu –OH fonsiyonel gruplarına dönüştürüldü. L-Laktid (LLA) monomeri elde edilen bu dihidroksi uç fonksiyonlu benzoin bileşiği (başlatıcı) ve Sn(Oct)2 katalizörü varlığında 130 oC'de ROP yöntemi ile polimerleştirilerek iyi tanımlanmış zincir ucunda benzoin fotoaktif grubu bulunduran iki kollu poly(L-laktide) makrofotbaşlatıcısı [B-(PLLA)2] sentezlendi. Sentezlenen B-(PLLA)2 makrofotobaşlatıcısı FT-IR, 1H-NMR, GPC UV-vis ve Floresans spektral analizlerleri ile karakterize edildi. Çalışmanın son aşamasında siklohekzen oksit (CHO) monomeri B-(PLLA)2 makrofotobaşlatıcısı varlığında fotokimyasal katyonik polimerizasyon yöntemi ile polimerleştirilerek PCHO ve PLLA segmentlerinden oluşan AB2-tipi yıldız bir kopolimer elde edildi. AB2 tipi yıldız kopolimerin yapısı FT-IR ve 1H-NMR teknikleri ile aydınlatıldı, molekül ağırlığı ise GPC yöntemi ile belirlendi.
In this thesis, firstly, sodium salt of benzoin was reacted with epichlorohydrin to form a benzoin molecule with an epoxy terminated group. The epoxy terminated benzoin compound was then hydrolyzed to convert the epoxide end group into -OH functional groups. The resulting dihydroxy end-functionalized benzoin compound was used as the initiator in the ring opening polymerization (ROP) of L-Lactide (LLA) monomer in the presence of Sn(Oct)2 catalyst at 130oC to synthesize a well-defined two arm a macrophotoninitiator of poly(L-lactide) polymer with benzoin end-functional group [B-(PLLA)2]. The synthesized B-(PLLA)2 macrophotoinitiator was characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, GPC, UV-vis and fluorescence spectral analyzes. In the final stage of the study, the synthesized B-(PLLA)2 was used as a prepolymer in photoinduced free radical promoted cationic polymerization of cyclohexene oxide (CHO) monomer to obtain an AB2-type miktoarm star copolymer composed of PCHO and PLLA segments. The structure of AB2-type star copolymer was characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR measurements and its molecular weight was determined by GPC technique.
