Abstract:
Bu tez çalışmasında, makro sentetik elyaf miktarının silindirle sıkıştırılmış betonun (SSB) donma-çözülme direncine olan etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla laboratuar koşullarında biri elyafsız olmak üzere hacimce %0.2, %0.4 ve %0.6 oranlarında elyaf eklenerek 4 farklı SSB karışımı hazırlanmıştır. Her elyaf oranı için zemin sıkıştırma yöntemiyle optimum su içerikleri belirlenmiş olup, SSB numuneleri üretilmiştir. Üretilen numuneler 28 gün kürlendikten sonra ASTM C666 standardının B prosedürüne göre donma-çözülme çevrimlerine maruz bırakılmıştır. Donma-çözülme deneyi kapsamında SSB numuneleri üzerinde ağırlık değişimi, ultrasonik geçiş hızı, dinamik elastiste modülü, pandül, eğilme ve basınç dayanımı deneyleri yapılmıştır. Ek olarak elyaf miktarının SSB'nin geçirimlilik özelliklerine etkisini incelemek için SSB numuneleri üzerinde su emme, basınçlı su işleme derinliği ve kılcal su emme deneyleri yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, SSB'de elyaf kullanımının donma çözülme direncini olumlu yönde etkilediği görülmüştür. Ayrıca, elyaf miktarındaki artışa bağlı olarak betonun su emme kapasitesinin ve basınçlı su işleme derinliğinin arttığı, ancak kılcal su geçirimliliğinin azaldığı belirlenmiştir.
In this thesis, the effect of the amount of macro-synthetic fiber on the freeze-thaw resistance of roller compacted concrete (RCC) was investigated. For this purpose, 4 different RCC mixtures were prepared with 0%, 0.2%, 0.4% and 0.6% fiber ratios by volume in the laboratory conditions. The optimum water content of RCC mixtures for each fiber ratio was determined with using the soil compaction method and the concrete samples were the produced accordingly. The RCC samples were exposed to the freeze-thaw cycles according to the procedure B of ASTM C666 standard after the samples were water the cured for 28 days. The weight change, ultrasonic pulse velocity, dynamic elastic modulus, pendulum, flexural and compressive strength tests were performed to determine the freeze-thaw resistance of RCC samples. Additionally, the water absorption, depth of water penetration under pressure and sorptivity tests were conducted to examine the effect of fiber amount on the permeability properties of RCC. As a result, it is observed that the use of fibers in the RCC positively affectes the freeze-thaw resistance. Moreover, it is also determined that the water absorption capacity and the depth of water penetration under pressure increases with the increase in the fiber amount along with the reduction in the sorptivity results.
