Abstract:
Bu tez çalışmasında, makro sentetik elyaf miktarının silindirle sıkıştırılmış betonun (SSB) özellikleri ve optimum su içeriği üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Beton hacminin %0, %0.2, %0.4 ve %0.6 oranlarında makro sentetik elyaf kullanılmıştır. Zemin sıkıştırma yöntemi kullanılarak karışımların maksimum kuru birim ağırlıklarına karşılık gelen optimum su içerikleri tespit edilmiştir. Belirlenen optimum su içeriklerine göre üretilen numunelerin kıvamını belirlemek için modifiye Vebe deneyi yapılmıştır. Elyaf miktarının SSB'nin özelliklerine etkisini incelemek için basınç dayanımı, yarmada çekme dayanımı, eğilme dayanımı, böhme aşınma ve pandül deneyleri yapılmıştır. Deneysel çalışma sonucunda elyaf kullanımının betonun su ihtiyacını arttırdığı gözlemlenmiştir. Ek olarak makro sentetik elyaf miktarındaki artışın SSB numunelerin basınç dayanımını önemli ölçüde etkilemediği ve %0.4 oranında makro sentetik elyaf kullanımının SSB'nin hem yarmada çekme dayanımında hem de eğilme dayanımında önemli ölçüde artış sağladığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca elyaf miktarındaki artışa bağlı olarak numune içerisindeki boşluk miktarı arttığından dolayı elyaf kullanımının SSB'nin aşınma direncini azalttığı belirlenmiştir. Numune yüzeyindeki elyaflar sürtünmeyi azalttığından kaymaya karşı direncin elyaf miktarı arttıkça azaldığı gözlemlenmiştir.
In this thesis, the effect of macro synthetic fiber amount on the optimum water content and the properties of roller compacted concrete (RCC) was investigated. Macro synthetic fiber has been used incorprating with %0, %0.2, %0.4 and %0.6 ratios of the volume of concrete. Soil compaction method was used to determine the optimum water content for maximum dry unit weight of the mixtures. In order to determine the consistency of the samples produced in terms of the optimum water content, the modified Vebe test was performed. Compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength, böhme abrasion and pendulum tests were performed to examine the effect of fiber amount on the properties of RCC. As a result of the experimental study, it was observed that the use of fiber increases the water demand of the concrete. In addition, it is concluded that the increase in the amount of the macro synthetic fiber does not significantly affect the compressive strength of RCC samples and the use of 0.4% macro synthetic fibers resulted in a significant increase in both the split tensile strength and the flexural strength of the RCC. Moreover it has been determined that the use of fiber reduces the abrasion resistance of RCC because the increment in the amount of fiber increases the porosity of RCC. As the fibers on the sample surface reduce the friction, it is observed that the slip resistance decreases as the amount of fiber increases.
