Abstract:
ÖZET KREDİ DERECELENDİRME KURULUŞLARI VE FİNANSAL KRİZ İLİŞKİSİ: TÜRKİYE ÖRNEĞİ Bu çalışmanın konusu, kredi derecelendirme kuruluşları ve finansal kriz ilişkisinin Türkiye örneğinde incelenmesidir. Kredi derecelendirme kuruluşlarının finansal kriz öncesi verdikleri notlarla finansal krizler sonrası verdikleri notların incelenerek bu notların tutarlılığının tespit edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışma, kredi derecelendirme kuruluşlarının finansal krizleri etkilediği ve yatırımcıların kredi derecelendirme kuruluşlarının vermiş oldukları notlara göre pozisyon aldıklarını göstermiştir. Kredi derecelendirme kuruluşlarının krizleri öngörememe ve ani not değişimleriyle mevcut finansal krizlerin derinleşmesine neden oldukları tespit edilmiştir. ABSTRACT THE RELATIONSHIP OF CREDIT RATING AGENCIES AND THE FINANCIAL CRISIS: A CASE OF TURKEY The research examines the relationship between credit rating agencies and the financial crisesin the light of Turkey. It aims to find out the consistency betweenthe grades which the credit rating agencies declare before financial crises and after financial crises. The study has indicated that the credit rating agencies affected the financial crises and the investors took positions according to the ratings declared by the credit rating agencies. It has been found out that the credit rating agencies cause the financial crises to deepen owing to the sudden change of ratings and not able to foresee the crisis.
