Abstract

Şer'iyye Sicilleri Osmanlı'da kadılar tarafından mahkemeye gelen davaların sonuçları ile birlikte deftere kaydedilmesiyle meydana gelen defterlerdir. Bu defterler, yerel tarih araştırmaları için son derece. önemli bilgiler içeren; değerli, döneminin sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel hayatı hakkında araştırmacılara güzel fikirler verecek nitelikte kaynaklardır. Bu kaynaklar sayesinde araştırmacılar Osmanlı toplum hayatı hakkında son derece önemli ve eşsiz bilgilere ulaşabilmektedir. Urfa'da özellikle XIX. yüzyılda (ilki H. 1039 M. 1629) kaleme alınmış olan bu siciller Osmanlı'nın son döneminde Urfa tarihini aydınlatacak çok önemli bilgiler ihtiva etmektedir. Çalışmamızın kaynağını oluşturan 206/3 Numaralı Urfa Şer'iyye Sicili Urfa'nın XIX. yüzyılda toplumsal, ekonomik, siyasi ve dini hayatı hakkında araştırmacılara önemli bilgiler sunmaktadır. Çalışmamızda 206/3 numaralı Urfa Şer'iyye Sicili'ni transkribe edip değerlendirerek Urfa'nın tarihinie katkı sunacağımızı ümit ediyoruz. Sharia court records are books that consisted of recordings related to the results of the cases brought to court by the kadi (religious judge) in the Ottoman Empire. These records are highly valuable sources for local history researches since they contain precious information about social, economic and cultural life of the period. Thanks to these records, we are able to reach extremely important and unique information about the life of the Ottoman community. For Urfa, these records, which were written in the 19th century (first in 1629), contain very important information that will illuminate the history of Urfa in the last period of the Ottoman Empire. Urfa Shariah Court Records Numbered 206/3 is the main source of this study. It provides the researchers with important information about social, economical, political and religious life in Urfa during the 19th century. In our study, we aim to contribute to the history studies about Urfa by transcribing and examining Urfa Shariah Court Records Numbered 206/3.
