Abstract:
Bu tezde, kÜremsi dalga denkleminin bant geniŞliĞi parametresinin hem küçük hem de çok büyük değerleri için sanki-spektral yöntemlerle sayısal çözümleri elde edilmiştir. Bant genişliği parametresinin küçük değerleri için denklem Jacobi diferansiyel denklemini andıran bir forma dönüştürülüp uygun Jacobi sankispektral yöntemi kullanılarak sayısal çözümler hesaplanmıs¸tır. Bu yöntem bant genişliği parametresinin çok büyük değerleri için kullanışsız bir hal almaktadır. Bu yüzden denklem cebirsel forma dönüştürülüp gönderimli Chebyshev sanki-spektral yöntemi kullanılarak yaklaşık çözümler elde edilmiştir. Yöntemin verimliliğini görmek için literatürde var olan sayısal sonuçlarla karşılaştırmalar yapılmıştır.
In this thesis, numerical solution of the spheroidal vawe equation is obtained by using pseudospectral methods for both small and very large values of the bandwidth parameter. For small values of the bandwidth parameter, spheroidal vawe equation is transformed into a form resembling the Jacobi differential equation and hence, it is approximated by using suitable Jacobi pseudospectral method. However, the method becomes useless especially for very large values of the bandwidth parameter. For this reason, first it is transformed into an equivalent algebraic form and then approximated by using the mapped Chebyshev pseudospectral method. Comparison with literature results is made to see the efficiency of the present method.
