Geçmişten günümüze İdil'in siyasî, idarî, sosyo-ekonomik ve kültürel tarihî / The historical structure of İdil

Abstract

Bu çalışma geçmişten günümüze İdil'İn siyasi, idari, sosyo-ekonomik ve kültürel tarihini ele almaktır. Roma-Bizans, İslami dönem, Türk-İslam ve Cumhuriyet dönemlerinin ilçe ölçeğinde tarihi birikiminin sözlü gelenek çerçevesinde taspit edilerek kayda geçirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışma ile İdil kenti ve çevresinin jeo-stratejik bir öneme sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir Tarih boyunca İlçenin sosyal hayatında önemli roller oynayan Müslüman, Süryani ve Yezidilerin bir kültür mozaiği oluşturarak çevre yerleşimlere örnek teşkil ettiği belirlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda, Mor Gabriel Kilisesi'nin 1617 yıldır, İdil'in sosyal yapısının hoşgörü kaynağı olduğuna dikkat çekilmiştir. Bu inceleme, ilçe'nin tarih boyunca birçok ilim adamının yetiştiği okullara merkezlik ettiği ve bu okulların bölgenin kültürel dokusuna ve sosyal barışına büyük katkıları olduğunu göstermiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: İdil, Tarih, Jeo-stratejik, Roma, İslam This study examines the political, admimnistrative, socio-economic and cultural history of İdil, from the past to present. It aims to record the oral tradition of the city dating back to Roman-Byzantine, Islamic, Turkish-Islamic and the Turkish republic periods. The research has revealed that İdil and its surroundings have a remarkable geo-strategic importance. It has futher indicated that throughout the history, Muslims, Syriacs and Yazidis created a cultural mosaic as an example to surrounding settlements and played important roles in the social life of the town. İn this context, the Mor Gabriel Chruch has been a source of tolerance in the İdil's social structure for 1617 years. The study has also showed that the district has beed the center of the schools where many of the scientists were educated and that these schools had significant contributions to the region's culture and social peace.
