Van ilinde nüfus hareketleri / Population movements in Van province

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın konusu, nüfus hareketleri diğer bir ifade ile göçlerdir. Çalışmanın amacı ise ildeki nüfus hareketleri üzerinde etkili olan faktörleri tespit edip, coğrafya biliminin ilke ve yöntemlerine göre değerlendirmektir. Bu çalışma, ildeki göç hareketliliği üzerinde etkili olan sebepleri belirleyerek, göçlerin neden olduğu olumsuz koşulların önüne geçilmesini hedeflemektedir. Bu çalışma, göç veren kırsal kesimlerde insanların hayvanlarını satarak, arsalarını ise ya satarak ya da boş bırakarak gitmeleri sonucu yerel ekonomilerin atıl duruma geldiklerini; göç alan yerlerde ise başta işsizlik olmak üzere eğitim, sağlık, altyapı, çevre kirliliği gibi birçok problemlere neden olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca, bu çalışma ile ildeki nüfus hareketleri üzerinde doğal faktörlerden özellikle yeryüzü şekilleri ile iklim; beşeri faktörlerden ise sosyo-ekonomik faktörler ile siyasal faktörlerin önemli bir etkisi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. It aims at finding out the important factors of movements of people evaluating them according to the principles and methods of the science of geography. In particular, it focuses on the reasons of migration so that it may help to preventor reduce the negative outcomes of migration. This study has shown that migration damaged the local economic activities in rural areas as people got rid of their animals and lands by selling or leaving them empty respectively; on the other hand, it caused many problems in the migrated areas such as unemployment, education, health, infrastructure and environmental pollution. This study has further indicated that not only natural factors such as landforms and, climate; but also human factors such as socio-economic conditions and political issues have a significant impact on population movement.
