Adıyaman ilinin turizm coğrafyası / Tourism geography of Adıyaman province

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Adıyaman ilinin turizm coğrafyasını ele almaktadır. Adıyaman'ın mevcut turizm potansiyeli ve alternatif turizm değerlerini ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, zengin turizm altyapısına sahip olmasına rağmen Adıyaman'ın sahip olduğu imkânları değerlendirme konusunda yetersiz kaldığını göstermiştir. Mevcut turizm potansiyelinden yeterince yararlanılamaması, belirli bir turizm politikasının geliştirilememesi, bölgede yaşanan sosyal huzursuzluk, altyapı ve konaklama yetersizlikleri turizmin gelişmesini olumsuz yönde etkileyen faktörler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Turizmin geliştirilmesine yönelik alternatif politikaların üretilmesinin önemine dikkat çekilmiştir. It aims to find out the tourism potential of Adıyaman and alternative tourism spots. The study has revealed that although Adıyaman has rich tourism spots, it was not able to facilitate these. It has been underlined that the failure of adequately benefitingfrom existing tourism potential, the inability to develop a specific tourism policy, social unrest in the region, the lack of infrastructure and accommodation were the factors which adversely affected the development of tourism in this region. It has been suggested that theintroduction of alternative policies for the development of tourism is important forthis region.
