Abstract:
Bu çalışma, israf ve iktisat kavramlarını hadisler ışığında ele almaktadır. Bu kavramların detaylıca incelenmesi; insan ve toplum hayatında öneminim tespit edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışma, israfın sınırı aşma, iktisadın ise orta yollu davranmak olduğunu, israfın sadece maddî konularda olmayıp manevî konularda da olabileceğini göstermiştir. İsrafın zararlı bir alışkanlık olduğu, topluma yüklü maliyetler getirdiği, iktisadın ise faydalı olduğu, toplumları refaha götürdüğü belirlenmiştir. This study examines the concepts of extravagance (israf) and budgeting (iktisad) in the light of the hadiths. It aim is to find out the significance of these two concepts in the life of individuals and communities by analyzing them in detail. The research has indicated that while israf means going beyond the limits, iktisad refers to moderation. In addition, it has revealed that israf involves not only material life but also moral issues. It has further underlined that while extravagance is a bad habit with a destructive cost for people, budgeting has a significant benefit leading the societies to prosperity.
