Farklı seviyelerde okaliptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) yaprağının bazı kaba yemlerin in vitro metan gazı üretimi üzerine etkisinin araştırılması / Effect of levels eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) leaf on in vitro methane production of some roughages

Abstract

Bu çalışma, ruminant beslemede yaygın olarak kullanılan bazı kaba yemlere; mısır silajı, yonca kuru otu, çayır kuru otu ve buğday samanına farklı seviyelerde (kontrol, %0.5, %1.0, %1.5, %2.0 ve %2.5) ilave edilen okaliptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) yaprağının in vitro metan gazı üretimi üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Farklı seviyelerde okaliptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) yaprağı ilave edilmiş deneme yemleri in vitro gaz tekniği ile 24 saatlik inkubasyona bırakılmışlardır. İn vitro gaz üretim tekniği ile 24. saatte oluşan toplam gaz miktarı bilgisayar destekli metan gazı ölçüm cihazına özel bir düzenekle enjekte edilerek metan ve karbondioksit gazı düzeyleri ölçülmüştür. Okaliptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) yaprağında 17.33 g/kg KM düzeyinde kondanse tanen içeriği tespit edilmiştir. Tüm yem maddeleri için en düşük metan gazı (CH4) %2.5 düzeyinde Okaliptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) yaprağı ilave edilen uygulamadan elde edilmiştir (P<0.05). Karbondioksit gazı (CO2) bakımından buğday samanı hariç, %2.5 düzeyinde Okaliptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) yaprağı ilavesi Karbondioksit gazı değerini azltmıştır (P<0.05). Tüm yem maddeleri için %2.0 düzeyinde Okaliptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) yaprağı ilavesi in vitro 24. saat rumen sıvısı amonyak azotu değerini azaltmıştır (P<0.05). Sonuç olarak okaliptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) yapraklarının kaba yemlere katılması in vitro olarak metan ve karbondioksit üretimini azaltmıştır. Ayrıca okaliptus yapraklarının hayvan performansı üzerine etkileri in vivo çalışmalarla incelenmelidir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Okaliptus, metan üretimi, in vitro gaz üretim This study was carried out to investigate the effect of addition different levels of eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) leaf (control, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 2.5%) on the in vitro methane production of some roughages (maize silage, alfalfa forage, grass forage and wheat straw). Methane and carbon dioxide production of 24 h incubated roughages inside the syringes were measured with injection of produced gases into special apparatus connected to computer. Condensed tannin content of eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) leaf was determined 17.33 g/kg dry matter. The lowest methane (CH4) production was determined from the 2.5% eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) leaf containing treatments for all experimental roughages (P<0.05). Similarly, carbon dioxide (CO2) production was decreased with addition of 2.5% eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) leaf for all roughages except wheat straw (P<0.05). Ammonia N value of 24 h incubated samples of all roughage was decreased with usage of 2% of eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) leaf (P<0.05). As a conclusion addition of the eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) leaf to roughages decreased the methane and carbon dioxide producitons with use of in vitro procedure. Furthermore effect of eucalyptus leaf on animal performance should be examined with in vivo studies. Keywords: Eucalyptus, methane production, in vitro gas production.
