Abstract:
beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulunda eğitimine devam eden öğrencilerin duygusal zekâ düzeyleri ile kısa semptomları arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Beden eğitimi ve spor yüksekokulunda duygusal zekâ ve psikolojik semptomların bazı değişkenlere göre temel ve ortak etkileri araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Şanlıurfa ili merkezinde 2010?2011 eğitim-öğretim yılında, Harran Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulunda okuyan Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği Bölümü öğrencileri, örneklem grubunu ise araştırmada `'Yukarıdaki ifadelere samimi ve doğru bir şekilde cevap verdim? ifadesine ?tamamen katılıyorum? seçeneğine cevap veren 35 kız ve 51 erkek olmak üzere toplam 86 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin duygusal zekâ düzeylerinin belirlenmesi için Bar-On Duygusal Zekâ Ölçeği ve psikolojik semptom düzeylerinin belirlenmesi için de Kısa Semptom Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca demografik değişkenlere ilişkin verilerin toplanması amacıyla, Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokul öğrencilerinin en yüksek duygusal zekâ ortalamasının kişilerarası ilişkiler boyutunda olduğu, en düşük duygusal zekâ ortalamasının ise stres yönetimi boyutunda olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin en yüksek psikolojik semptom sıklığı ortalama değerinin paranoid semptomunda olduğu, en düşük değerin ise fobik anksiyetede olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Duygusal zekâ ve psikolojik semptom rahatsızlık ciddiyeti arasında ise ters yönde güçlü bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca duygusal zekânın ve psikolojik semptomların bazı demografik değişkenlere (cinsiyet, ailede aktif spor yapma durumu, orta öğretim alan türü, kardeş sayısı, öğrenim yılı) göre farklılaştığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. The relationship betweeen emotional quotient levels and brief symptoms of the students in Physical Education and Sport College is examied on this study. The basic and common effects of emotional quotient and phycological symptoms are researched according to some variables in Physical Education and Sport College. The research includes 86 students-35 girls and 51 boys-replying ? Agree Exactly? to the state ?I answered to the questions sincerely and truly? in Physical Education and Sport College of Harran Üniversity, Şanlıurfa 2010-2011 Education Year. Bar-On Emotional Quotient Scale and Brief Symptom Inventory were used to determine the levels of the students? emotional quotient and phycological symptoms. In addition Personal Information Form was used to collect data related with demographic variables. As a result of the research; It is recognized that emotional quotient is highest at the mount of interpersonal relations and the lowest emotional quotient is up to the mount of stress control in Physical Education and Sport College. It is reasoned out that the students? highest phycological symptom density is paranoid symptom and the lowest is phobic anxiety. It is also determined that a strong connection between emotional quotient and phycological symptoms in reverse direction. Furthermore, emotional quotient and phycological symptoms can be varied to demographic variables (gender, the state of doing sport in family, the department of high school education, the number of siters or brothers, education year) Key words : Emotional quotient, brief symptom, sport
