Abstract:
Bu çalışmadaki amaç, Atom Transfer Radikal Polimerizasyon (ATRP) ve Klik Kimyası yöntemlerinin birleştirilmesi ile makrofotobaşlatıcıları sentezlemektir. Bu çalışma dört aşamada gerçekleştirilmiştir. Birinci aşamada, stiren monomeri metil-2-bromopropanoate başlatıcısı ve CuBr/PMDETA kompleksi varlığında ATRP yoluyla zincir uç grubunda brom bulunan polistiren (PSt-Br) sentezlenmiştir. İkinci aşamada, PSt-Br sodyum azit (NaN3) varlığında bir nükleofilik yerdeğiştirme reaksiyonu ile azitlendirilerek PSt-N3'e dönüştürülmüştür. Üçüncü aşamada, 2-hidroksi-1-[4-(2-hidroksietoksi)fenil]-2-metil-1-propanon (Irgacure 2959) bileşiğinin propargil bromür bileşiği ile tepkimesinden uç grupta alkin fonsiyonel grubu bulunan bir foto başlatıcı (alkin-FB-alkin) elde edilmiştir. Dördüncü ve son aşamada ise alkin-FB-alkin ve PSt-N3 bileşiklerinden klik reaksiyonu ile düşük molekül ağırlığı dağılımlı ve iyi tanımlanmış zincir ortası foto aktif olan polistiren makrofotobaşlatıcısı (PSt-FB-PSt) sentezlenmiştir.
The aim of this study is to synthesize macrophotoinitiators by combination of atom transfer radical (ATRP) polymerization and click chemistry. The study has been done in four steps. In the first step, bromo terminated polystyrene (PSt-Br) was prepared by ATRP of styrene monomer using methyl 2-bromopropanoate initiator with CuBr/(PMDETA) complex. In the second step, the bromine chain-end of PSt-Br was converted to an azide group by simple nucleophilic substitution reaction for obtaining PSt-N3. In the third step, Dialkyne functionalized a photoinitiator (alkin-FB-alkin) was synthesized by using a dihydroxy functional photoinitiator namely, 2-hydroxy-1-[4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl]-2-methyl propan-1-one (Irgacure 2959) and propargyl bromide. In the fourth and final step, low-polydispersity polystyrene with desired photoinitiator functionality in the middle of the chain (PSt-FB-PSt) was synthesized by the click reaction of PSt-N3 and alkin-FB-alkin compounds.
