Harran üniversitesi birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin sigara içme durumu ve kişilk tiplerine göre sigara bırakma konusundaki yaklaşımları / Smoking status and smoking cessation approach according to smoking status in the fist clas students of harran university

Abstract

Kisilik ve sigara içilmesi arasında bir iliski vardır. Bu iliskide alkol de etkilidir. Bu çalısmada Harran Üniversitesinin birinci sınıf ögrencilerinin sigarayı bırakma konusundaki yaklasımlarına göre sigara içme durumlarını ve kisilik alkol ve sigara arasında bir iliskinin olup olmadıgının arastırılması amaçlanmıstır. Bu çalısmada Harran Üniversitesinde bulunan 1907 birinci sınıf ögrencisinden 902'sine kura yöntemiyle ulasılması planlanmıs, ancak 768'ine ulasılmıstır. Ögrencilere Hacettepe Kisilik Envanteri (HKE), Fagerstrom Nikotin Bagımlılılık Ölçegi ve ögrencilerin sigara ve alkol ve sosyo-demografik özelliklerini içeren testler yüz yüze görüsme teknigi ile uygulanmıstır. Sigara içen ögrencilerin HKE genel ve alt kisilik skalalarından daha düsük puanlar aldıkları bulunmustur. Diger yandan alkol alan ve almayan ögrencilerinde gerek sosyal gerekse kisisel ilskiler bakımından anlamlı iliski bulunamamıstır. Bu verilere göre sigara içmenin sosyal sorunlarla, nevrotik ve psikotik belirtilerle iliskili olabilecegi ancak alkol kullanma ile kisilik arasında iliski olmadıgı söylenebilir. There is evidence that a relationship exists between personality and smoking, and alcohol is efficacious in this relationship. In this study, t was aimed to determine smoking status smoking cessation approach and whether there is a relationship between smoking and alcohol use and personality trait in the first class students in Harran University. It?s planned to reach1 907 first grade students in Harran University with bylot method but could be reached to 768 ones. For this purpose, Hacettepe Personality Inventory (HPI), Fagerstrom Nicotin Tolerance Test and a questionnaire about the cigarette and alcohol use and socio, domographic characteristics were applied with face to face interview techniqe to the students in the first class. An association between smoking status in the students, and general and subscales of HPI was investigated. It was found that the smoker university students had low score general, personel and social concordance points of HPI .On the other hand, it was not significant both social relations and inter-personel concordance between alcohol used students and no alcohol used students. According to this data, it was found that smoking was might related with social problems, neurotic and psichotic signs but alcohol usage was not related with personality.
