Abstract:	Birecik ve ekonomisi. Birecik İn tarihi içerisinde ekonomik durumu ve Güney-doğu Anadolu Projesi (GAP) doğrultusunda alacağı olası görüntü adı altındaki çalışmada ilçe ekonomisinin bilinen tarihinden günümüze kadar olan durumunu ve Güneydoğu Anadolu Projesi ile alacağı olası gelişmeleri incelemeye çalıştım. Bu genel çerçevede ilçenin ekonomik durumundaki gelişim ve yaşanan değişimin yanında, mevcut dinamikleri ile kalkınabilmesinin gereğine işaret edilmiştir.
