Abstract: A novel electrochemical platform based with europium oxide (Eu2O3 ), niobium (Nb) and graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) has been developed for the voltammetric detection of dopamine. The electrochemically active electrode area and charge transfer resistance (Rct) of the proposed electrochemical platform (GCE/GNP/Nb@Eu2O3 ) were determined to be 0.4 cm2 and 135 Ω by cyclicvoltammetric method(CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic method(EIS), respectively. This indicates that proposed material can be considered as a promising candidate in sensing applications. The performance of GCE/GNP/Nb@Eu2O3 was examined for dopamine electrode process and compared with other electrodes. GCE/GNP/Nb@Eu2O3 improved the voltametric behavior of dopamine and exhibited an oxidation peak potential (Epa) of 0.213 V, which less than that of other electrodes. The potential shift and peak improvement of dopamine indicated the higher electrocatalytic activity of electrode modified with GNP/Nb@Eu2O3 . GCE/GNP/Nb@Eu2O3 exhibited a working range of 8.0×10-9 – 3.2×10-6 M with a detection limit of 7.0×10-10 M (3sb /m) for dopamine. The Voltammetric measurements showed enormousaccuracy and high precision for dopamine in pharmaceuticals and biological samples.
