Şanlıurfa il merkezinde gelir dağılımının ve tüketim alışkanlıklarının gıda tüketim harcamalarına etkisi / The effect of income distribution and consumption habits on food consumption expenditure in Şanlıurfa province

Abstract

Bu çalışmada; 2017 yılında Şanlıurfa ili merkez ilçelerde ikamet eden hanehalklarının sosyo-ekonomik özellikleri, harcamaları ve toplam harcama içinde gıdaya ayrılan payın belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, 384 hanehalkına yüz yüze anket tekniği uygulanarak veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırmada istatistiksel ve Ekonometrik yöntemlerden de yararlanılmıştır. Şanlıurfa il merkezi için hesaplanan Gini katsayısı 0.34 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Aylık ortalama harcama kalemleri içinde gıda harcamaları için ayrılan pay miktarı % 38.3 olarak bulunmuştur. Şanlıurfa'da yaşayan bir ailenin aylık ortalama geliri 3 610.60 TL olarak hesaplanmıştır. Ekonometrik yöntem olarak En Küçük Kareler (EKK) yöntemi ile Kantil regresyon yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Aylık tüketim harcaması dört kantil grubuna ayrılarak analize tabi tutulmuş hem EKK hem de kantil regresyon modelinde birbirine benzer sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Aylık gelir ve aylık gıda harcamasının, aylık tüketim harcaması üzerindeki etkisi istatistiksel olarak anlamlı çıkmıştır. Aylık harcama üzerinde çocuk sayısının pozitif, yaş değişkenin negatif bir etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Karaköprü ilçesinde yaşayan hanehalklarının, Haliliye ve Eyyübiye ilçesinde yaşayan hanehalklarından daha fazla tüketimde bulundukları görülmüştür. Düşük ve orta gelire sahip lisans ve lisansüstü mezunu hanehalkı reislerinin, diğer mezun gruplarına göre daha az harcamada bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Memur olan hanehalkı reislerinin, düşük gelir düzeyindeki hanehalkı reisleri hariç diğer meslek gruplarına göre daha fazla harcamada bulunduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. In this study, it is aimed to determine the socio-economic characteristics, expenditures and share of food in total expenditure of households situated in central districts of Şanlıurfa province in 2017. In accordance with this purpose, 384 households were interviewed by face to face questionnaire. Statistical and econometric methods were also used in the study. The Gini coefficient was determined as 0.34 for Şanlıurfa city center. In the monthly average expenditure items, the share of food expenditures was found as 38.3%. The average monthly income of households in Şanlıurfa was calculated as 3610.60 TL. As an econometric method, the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method and the quantitative regression method were applied. Monthly consumption expenditure was divided into four quantile groups and similar results were obtained in both (OLS) and quantile regression models. The effect of monthly income and monthly food expenditure on the monthly consumption expenditure was statistically significant. It was determined that the number of children has a positive and the age variable has a negative effecton the monthly expenditure. It has been observed that the households situated in Karaköprü district consume more than the households situated in Haliliye and Eyyubiye districts. It has been determined that household heads with lower and middle income and have bachelor's and master degree spend less than other graduate groups. It has been concluded that household heads who are government official spend more than other occupation groups; except for heads of low-income households.
