Filipinler'de islam'ın yayılış tarihi / The history of spread of Islam in the Philippines

Abstract

Bu araştırma, Filipinler'de İslam'ın yayılmasını, Hıristiyan misyonerlik faaliyetleri ve Moro Müslümanlarının mücadelesini incelemektedir. Filipinler'de İslamiyet'in yayılışı, sömürgecilerle mücadele ve Müslümanların Güney Filipinler'e yerleşme sürecinin ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; Filipinlerde İslam dininin daha çok ticaret yoluyla yayıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Filipinler bölgesinde Müslüman bir devlet olarak Sulu Sultanlığının kurulduğu, İspanyollar'ın bölgeye gelişinin, misyonerlik faaliyetlerini hızlandırdığı ve Müslümanlığın yayılmasını engellediği belirlenmiştir. Resmi dini Hıristiyanlık olan günümüz Filipinlerinde, Müslümanların zorluklarla karşılaştığına, Moro Müslümanlarının dinlerini ve kimliklerini korumak için çaba sarf ettiklerine vurgu yapılmıştır. It aims to find out the spread of Islam in the Philippines, their struggle with the colonizers and the settlement period of Muslims to the southern Philippines. The result of the research has revealed that Islam was mostly spread through trade in Philippine. It has further showed that the Sultanate of Sulu as an Islamic state was established in the Philippines region, and that the arrival of the Spaniards to the region accelerated the missionary activities and prevented the spread of Islam. It has been stressed that since contemporary Philippine's official religion is Christianity, Muslims has been facing difficulties and has been striving to protect their religion and identity.
