Nemrut Dağı (Adıyaman) ve çevresinin jeopark olma potansiyelinin araştırılması / A researc on the potential of Mount Nemrut (Adıyaman) and its environment to become a geo-park

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın konusu, Nemrut Dağı sahasının jeopark olma potansiyelinin araştırılması ve bölgedeki jeositlerin belirlenmesidir. Sahanın jeolojik miras ve jeoturizm potensiyelinin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu çalışma, Nemrut Dağı Milli Parkı ve çevresinin önemli jeolojik mirasa sahip olduğunu, bölgede önemli jeositlerin bulunduğunu ve ziyaretçilerin kullanabilecekleri ideal güzergahların var olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca bu çalışma ile, jeositlerin turizm destinasyonları içerisine dahil edilmesinin, turizminin çeşitlenmesinde, gerek Milli Parklar Müdürlüğü ve turizm acentelerinin gerekse yöre halkının farkındalığının arttırılmasında önemli bir etkisi olacağı tespit edilmiştir. It aims to find out the geological heritage and the geo-tourism potential of the region. This research has shown that the Mount Nemrut National Park and its environment have important geological heritage and there are significant geo-sites and ideal routes for the visitors. It has also been underlined that the inclusion of the geo-sites in the tourism destinations might have an important impact upon the diversity of tourism, and awareness of National Parks Directorate and tourism agencies and the people of the region.
