Abstract

HZ. PEYGAMBER'İN DEDESİ ABDÜLMUTTALİB VE HALALARININ HAYATLARI Bu araştırma, Hz. Peygamber'in dedesi ve halalarının hayatlarını incelemektedir. Araştırmanın amacı, Abdülmuttalib'in Kureyş içindeki konumunun tespit edilmesi ve halalarının İslam tarihindeki önemlerinin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Bu çalışma, Abdülmuttalib'in asıl isminin Şeybe olduğu ve amcası Muttalib tarafından Medine'den Mekke'ye getirilirken insanların onu Muttalib'in kölesi sanmalarından dolayı kendisine Abdülmuttalib denildiğini göstermiştir. Abdülmuttalib'in yapmış olduğu önemli işler arasında Cürhüm kabilesinin kapatmış olduğu Zemzem kuyusunun yeniden açılması, Kâbe'yi yıkmaya gelen Ebrehe ile görüşüp develerinin geri alınması olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Altı hanım ile evlenmiş olan Abdülmuttalib'in toplamda Atike, Berre, Ervâ, Safiye, Ümeyme ve Ümmü Hakim Beyza olmak üzere altı kızının bulunduğu belirlenmiştir. Safiye ve Ervâ'nın Müslüman oldukları tespit edilmiş, diğerler hakkında ise bilgiye ulaşılamamıştır. It aims to find out the position of Abdulmuttalib within the Quraysh tribe and to discover the importance of his aunts in Islamic history. The study has revealed that the name of Abdulmattalib was Shayba and that he was called Abdulmattalib as he was thought to be the slave of Muttalib who was his uncle when his uncle brought him to Macca from Madina. It has further showed that Abdulmattalib found out the Zamzam well that was closed by the Cürhüm tribe and that when Abraha came to destroy the Kaaba and usurped his camels, he successfully negotiated the release of his camels. It has been underlined that Abdulmattalib married to six women and had six daughters namely Atika, Barra, Arva, Safiya, Umayya and Ummu Hakim and Bayza. It has been found out that the aunts of the Prophet, Arva and Safiya converted to Islam but there was no information about the other aunts. Key Words: Abdulmuttalib, Shayba, Macca, Zamzam
