Katı atık verilerinin CBS ile değerlendirilmesi: Suruç (Şanlıurfa) örneği / Evaluation of solid waste data by GIS: Suruç (Sanliurfa) case study

Abstract

Yerel yönetimler için, katı atıkların toplama ve taşıma işlemleri, maliyet bakımından en yüksek paya sahiptir. Bu nedenle, bu süreçlerin iyi yönetilmesi, maliyet, çevre ve zaman açısından büyük önem teşkil eder. Aksi durumda, aşırı yakıt tüketimi, zaman israfı, amortisman gideri, çevre ve kamu sağlığı açısından önemli problemler ortaya çıkar. Bu bağlamda, bu çalışma, bahsedilen hususların, Suruç Belediyesi (Şanlıurfa) özelinde irdelenmesini içerir. Çalışma sonunda, katı atık toplama sistemi yol ağları, demografik yapı ve atık miktarları ile ilgili veri setleri oluşturulmuştur. Bu veriler yardımıyla, katı atık toplama ve taşıma operasyonlarında, CBS tabanlı rota ve güzergâh optimizasyonu yapılmış; çöp dağılım haritaları çıkarılmış ve fayda-maliyet ilişkisi değerlendirilmiştir. For local governments, the collection and transportation of solid wastes have the highest share in cost. For this reason, good management of these processes is of great importance in terms of cost, environment and time. Otherwise, significant problems arise in terms of fuel consumption, waste of time, amortization, environment and public health. In this context, this study includes the discussion of the above-mentioned issues in Suruç Municipality (Şanlıurfa). As a result of the study, data sets related to solid waste collection system road networks, demographic structure and waste quantities were established. With the aid of this data, GIS-based route and route optimization were performed in solid waste collection and transportation operations; waste distribution maps were produced and the benefit-cost relationship was assessed.
