ANAHTAR KELİMELER: Pamuk, Potasyum sülfat, Üre Like all other plants, cotton plants use too much potassium, and if used in sufficient quantities, plant growth, yield and quality are positively affected.Cotton plants use potassium in their development first and then in the development of flowers and cocoons. The amount of leaf potassium increased due to plant growth is reduced again in the cocoon formation process after flowering and is transported to the cave. The amount of potassium transported to the kozama is not sufficient for the formation of cocoons, and the consumption of potassium continues to take up considerable amounts of plant soil in the process of cocoon formation. In order to remove potassium deficiency in cotton plant, potassium is supplied to the soil solution by dissolution of potassium minerals by microbial inoculation from the soil as applied to soil and potassium fertilizers. In this context, effects of leaf nitrogen and potassium application on yield and development of plants were investigated.% 1 and% 2 of potassium sulphate were applied to the cotton plant. This was done with 1% potassium sulfate + 1% urea application and 1% urea application in combination with 2% potassium sulphate. The highest increase in plant nitrogen, potassium, fluorescence and chlorophyll content was observed, while the highest increase was observed in the group treated with 2% potassium sulphate + 1% urea.In the plant biomass, both the wet weight and the dry weight increased, and the highest increase occurred in the group which was applied 2% potassium sulfate + 1% urea. The increase in fiber thickness was observed to be statistically insignificant while only an increase in fiber thickness was observed in the group treated with 1% potassium sulphate. It is seen that the increase in the properties of the filament yarn is important. As a result of this study, application of potassium sulphate in the soil resulted in improvement of plant growth and yield of chlorophyll values and fiber properties.
