Abstract

Günümüzde rekabetin hızla artması ile tükenmişlik, tüm işgörenleri tehdit eden bir sendrom haline gelmiştir. Öğretmenlerin tükenmişliği; gerek onların iş tatmini düzeyini, gerekse öğrencilerin eğitimini olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Yönetici işgören ilişkisinde yöneticilerin tutum ve davranışlarını belirleyen en önemli faktörlerden biri, liderlik tarzlarıdır. Okullarda da yöneticilerin liderlik tarzlarının öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeyleri üzerinde önemli bir etkisinin olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı okul yöneticilerinin liderlik tarzlarının öğretmenlerin tükenmişliğine etkilerinin ortaya konmasıdır. Bu bağlamda Şanlıurfa ili merkez ilçelerinde bulunan 58 okulda görev alan 400 öğretmenle anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda dönüştürücü liderlik özelliğine sahip okul müdürlerinin, öğretmenlerin duygusal tükenmelerini ve duyarsızlaşmalarını azalttığı görülmüştür. Bunun yanı sıra, tam serbesti tanıyan okul müdürlerinin, öğretmenlerin duygusal tükenmelerini ve duyarsızlaşmalarını artırdığı görülmüştür. The burnout of teachers negatively affects both their job satisfaction level and the education of students. One of the most important factors determining the attitudes and behaviours of the managers in manager-worker relations is the leadership style. Also in schools, the leadership styles of the managers are thought to have a significant effect on the burnout levels of the teachers. The purpose of this study is to reveal the effect of leadership styles of school administrators on teacher's burnout. In this context, a questionnaire was applied to 400 teachers working in 58 schools located in the central districts of Sanliurfa province. According to the results of the analysis made, it has been seen that school administrators who have transformational leadership feature decrease emotional exhaustion and depersonalization of the teachers. In addition to this, it has been observed that laissez-faire school administrators increase emotional exhaustion and depersonalization of the teachers.
