Abstract

Bu çalışma, Urfalı hattatlardan Mahmut Dörtbudak'ın hayatı, eserleri ve diğer çalışmalarını ele almaktadır. Bu şahsa ait eserler incelenerek tanıtılması amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırma, Dörtbudak'ın kendine özgü bir stil oluşturduğunu ve Urfa sanatçıları içerisinde farklı bir konuma sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Bu şahsın öğretim usulünü takip eden orta yetenekte bir kişinin, hat sanatında ilerleme sağlayacağı saptanmıştır. Itaims to introduce his works. This research has shown that Dortbudak has his own style and has a different position among calligraphers in Urfa. It has been under lined that an ordinary person who follows his teaching method can develop his skills and make progress in calligraphy.
