Ebu Hafs Ömer b. Şâhîn'in hayatı, eserleri ve hadis ilmindeki yeri / The life and works of Abu Hafs Umar b. Şhahin and his place in the science of hadith

Abstract

Bu çalışma, IV/IX. asrın meşhur hadis âlimlerinden İbn Şâhîn'in hayatı ve hadis ilmindeki yerini ele almaktadır. Bu şahsın eserlerinin incelenerek tanıtılması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu çalışma ile Şâhîn'in, İslam inanç esaslarını Sahâbeden nakledilen rivayetlerle ele aldığı, hadis ıstılahlarına ve hadis usülüne yeni izahlar getirerek katkı sağladığı tespit edilmiştir. Sahih hadisle amel edilmesinin gerekli olduğu, hadisin senedinin verilmesinin sorumluluğu kaldıracağı kanaatinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Farklı isnadları kısaltarak, "mislehû" yahut "nahvehû" ile iktifa ettiği, mislehû tabirini, lafzı benzer olan hadisler için, nahvehû tabirini ise, manası benzer olan rivayetler için kullandığı gösterilmişir. This thesis studies the life and the place of Ibn Shahin in the science of hadith, which is one of the eminent hadith scholars of the IV/IX. century. It aims to analyse and introduce his works. This research has revealed that Ibn Shahin studied the tenets of Islam with the narrations reported from the Sahaba, and contributed to the terminology and the methodology of hadith by providing new explanations. It has been underlined that Ibn Shahin held the view that it is obligatory to follow a sahih hadith and that providing the chain of reporters (isnad) discharges the responsibility of narrator. It has further indicated that he shortened different isnads with the terms 'mislahu' for hadiths whose wordings are similar or 'nahwahu', for hadiths whose meanings are similar.
