Abstract: Background: microRNAs (miRNAs) that play important roles in organisms are associated with usual function of cells, development of living, biological processes as well as many diseases involving cardiovascular disease. miRNAs are effective in endothelium disfunction, atherosclerosis, inflammation, apoptosis and angiogenesis related with coronary artery disease (CAD). miRNAs that are explained differently in cells, exist extracellularly, in circulation and body fluids. Many biomarkers related with CAD can get through circulation and pericard fluid (PF), the closest place to heart. That is why in etiopathogenesis evaluation of CAD miRNAs can be used diagnostically in PF and circulation. Since PF has a potential of reflecting heart potential, PF concentration of some substances provides to be understood many pathophysiological mechanisms.
