Şanlıurfa ili tarihi su yapılarının belirlenmesi ve teknik özellikleri / Determining of historical water constructions in Şanliurfa and technical properties of these structures

Abstract

Binlerce yıllık tarihi geçmişe ve köklü bir kültüre sahip olan Şanlıurfa'da bir çok medeniyet yaşamış olup, bu medeniyetlerde kendi kültür yapılarıyla birçok eserler bırakmışlardır. Yaşamın baş koşulu olan içme suyu temini için de bir çok yapılar yapılmış ve bu yapıların birçoğu günümüze değin sağlam kalmıştır. Tarih boyunca suya su tesislerine büyük önem verilmiş dolayısıyla bu sanat içerisinde suyun ve su mimarisinin ayrı bir yeri olmuştur. Bu çalışmada Şanlıurfa kent merkezi için yapılmış çeşme, hamam, su kaynakları, su kemeri, tarihi köprüler incelenmiş ve bunlara ait genel özellikler hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Şanlıurfa city has a historical background for thousands years. Many civilizations have been lived at there and they have leaved many historical arts which reflects their cultural structure. For supplying water in their life, they have constructed a lot of structures. Many of these historical structures are exist today. It has been given great importance to the water structures, therefore water architecture have a very important place through the history. In this study it has been analyzed the fountains, hamam (public baths), historical water resources of the city, water arcs and historical bridges. And also ıt has given the general features of these structures.
